Ask a mother what she would like to learn, and she will usually name a career skill. Hardly anyone says, "I want to learn how to run my home." Yet running a home is one of the hardest jobs there is, and almost nobody is ever taught how to do it. That gap is why I built Return On Life (ROL).
The Night Everything Fell Apart
In a nuclear family, every time a nanny leaves, the routine falls apart. My breaking point came when I was admitted to hospital and the nanny quit the same night. My mother and mother-in-law wanted to help, but they could not match my toddler's energy, and they did not know his routine.
Instead of focusing on getting better, I was worried about my child. That is when I built a proper childcare backup system. I also realised this was not only my problem. It was waiting to happen in thousands of homes.
From My Home to Other Mothers' Homes
I have always been the person who organises things. Once I had systems in place, my home ran calmly, even with no one else to lean on. Other mothers noticed and kept asking me, "How do you manage it all?"
That is when I understood that nobody teaches us how to run a home. We are expected to figure it out alone, and to feel guilty when we can't. So I turned my systems into a course. Return On Life launched on 11 August 2026.
What Is Inside the Course
ROL: Home Edition is self-paced, with eight short video lessons. It costs ₹999 as a one-time payment, with lifetime access on any device. It includes worksheets, a printable Master Systems Pack and self-evaluation checklists. It teaches three systems:
The Cook's Chart: ends the daily decision fatigue around meals.
The Caregiver System: makes sure one cancellation cannot ruin a day.
The Stacked Wellness Window: fits a mother's own well-being into routines she already has.
The idea behind all three fits in one line: "You don't need more discipline. You need systems."
Most courses in India are about your career. ROL is about the home, and it is built for Indian households. Every system comes from my own life, and each has a printable worksheet, so a mother can start the same day.
Where We Are Now
ROL is fully self-funded. We tested it through beta testing with paid advertising, and it began making paid sales from the start of the campaign. More than 100 mothers have been reached and helped so far.
Next, I am building one-to-one consultations, guided programmes and a second course shaped by what mothers need most. My goal is simple: to make running a home feel less like a solo job, so that every mother has a system she can lean on.
