Xiaomi has launched a new Xiaomi 10000mAh 55W power bank, the NPB1055R, and its main idea is simple. It is a power bank with built-in cable, a 70cm retractable USB-C cable that pulls out when you need it and slides back inside, so there is nothing to coil or forget at home. It also supports 55W fast charging on both USB-C ports, has a USB-A port at 22.5W and a hidden colour display that shows battery percentage, live wattage, temperature and battery health. It was listed in China on 10 October 2026 at 299 yuan, about $45, and Xiaomi has not announced any India price or date.
A retractable USB-C power bank like this is only as fast as the gear around it, because the cable, the phone and the charger all have to match. The power bank accepts up to 45W of input, so a compact GaN fast charging adapter and a properly rated cable are needed to reach that speed, while a basic 10W brick will waste it. Xiaomi's speed and safety figures are the brand's own claims, and a Chinese certification is not an Indian one, so it is wise to wait for hands on reviews. A power bank alone does not make a travel kit. A sensible setup also needs a fast charging adapter, a spare fast charging cable and a USB OTG hub for pendrives and wired accessories, and all of these travel friendly gadgets are available at GrunX mobile accessories India. To be clear, GrunX does not sell the Xiaomi model, only its own power banks, cables, adapters and hubs.
